Slipknot members Shawn "Clown" Crahan and Joey Jordison have released separated statements commemorating Paul Gray, who has died in May 2010. He'd have been 39 today.
Hey everybody, it’s Clown, I wanted to say that today is a very special and beautiful day. I wanted everyone to know that I am the type of person that would not commemorate a day that someone close to me passed away, but I am the type of person that celebrates the day that they were born. Today is the day that Paul Dedrick Gray was born which makes it a very, very, very special day for me and all of us who miss and love him and think about him every day. Paul, I love you and I miss you. Your friend and brother forever,
Clown
Today is a day that will have a special place in my heart forever. It’s a special day for all, for not only me and the guys in our band and families, but for everyone to put smiles across their faces and to celebrate the emotion and beauty of one of the greatest souls to ever grace music and humanity. I spent all of last night watching our videos since our days as little kids who had a dream and fuck, Paul we did make that dream come true. I fell asleep last night only to wake up minutes ago with a smile on my face as my slumbers were filled with memories I’d long forgot. Even as I write this my eyes are getting a little watery. He loves all of you who embraced his music. God bless to Brenna, October and all his friends and family as well. I wish that all of you that couldn’t share time with Paul will by playing his records ‘til your ceilings crack and your ears bleed and by celebrating his memory in the glory that it is. I love you Paul and I’ll see you again soon, but not yet…not yet. Hail Paul, hail Slipknot. Your friend,
Joey

Finnish metallers Children Of Bodom have set "Relentless Reckless Forever" as the title to their new album, which will be available on March 8, 2011 via Universal Music.
The CD was recorded in Finland with producer Matt Hyde, who previously worked with Slayer and Monster Magnet.
"We worked super-hard on this album, at least for me it was pretty much no sleep or rest for six weeks. But we were determined to make the best COB album ever, so we were willing to do whatever it took. Of course, having our producer Matt Hyde kicking our asses 24/7 definitely made the results even better, so obviously we're more than anxious to get this album out there"

Chris Cole’s ollies over me while I'm rocking my guitar solo, that's fuckin’ Rock ‘n’ Roll right there! I never had this much fun during a video shoot. Thanks to the director and everyone involved."
"I've been a Bodom fan for a very long time, and never thought something like this would ever happen. It's a dream come true for me,” commented Chris Cole. “For the past three years Alexi and I have been saying to each other how we wanted to film this one scene that finally happened in this video. I had a blast and can't wait for this video to air!"

CHILDREN OF BODOM's enthralling mix of modern heavy metal, melodic hooks and the guitar acrobatics of Laiho have solidified the critically acclaimed band as one of the most revered hard rock acts in the world and one of the leading voices of metal’s new generation. CHILDREN OF BODOM has been called "technically dazzling" by the New York Times and “One of the most talented metal bands of our time” by contemporary media conglomerate VICE. The band's name is derived from the infamous Lake Bodom murders, which took place in Finland in 1960.

Video footage of Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor playing an acoustic version of "Snuff" (from the band's latest album) as a tribute to Paul Gray , can be viewed below .
Robb Flynn from Machine Head has said that his band has "fired" the city of San Diego .
He explained to Rock Radio DJ David "The Captain" Grant : "A lot of crowds are awesome. But if we're playing San Diego, we're not going to go on the radio and say, 'San Diego crows are awesome' - because they're not. They're beat. That's Machine Head slang for 'We don't like them.' They don't come to a show and rage and go crazy. They come to a show and say, 'Okay... this is cool. Oh, I like this song.' We're not into that. I don't know why they come to a rock show with that kind of attitude. So we don't go to San Diego anymore. They're fired."
On January 15 , members of Slipknot , Machine Head , Hellyeah and Walls Of Jericho have performed a cover version of Pantera's song "Walk" during the "Dean Guitars 2010 NAMM Jam" concert , at the Grove of Anaheim in California . The video can be viewed below .
The following musicians took part in the "Walk" performance:
After three years of roadwork , Machine Head will end "The Black Procession" tour in Japan and in Australia :
March 16 - Japan, Tokyo - O East
March 17 - Japan, Tokyo - O East
March 18 - Japan, Osaka - Quattro
March 22 - Australia, Perth - Metropolis
March 24 - Australia, Adelaide - The Barton
March 26 - Australia, Melbourne - Festival Hall
March 27 - Australia, Sydney - Luna Park
March 28 - Australia, Brisbane - River Stage
Commented Robb Flynn : "It's really just dawning on us that after almost three years of touring on 'The Blackening' that 'The Black Procession' will be the final tour of this cycle... but instead of being in wind-down mode, we're super excited to get out there and crush it one last time! Our fans have been asking for a full-fledged MACHINE HEAD tour and we are ready to bring it!
It's been an amazing album cycle and we are thankful for the relentless support we get from our fans.
We are all well aware of the fact that the touring market around the world is in a tough spot due to economic conditions, and it's great and humbling to be able to actually add dates to this tour in spite of that fact.
We can't wait to see all you crazy fuckers out there!"
"Snuff" , the short movie directed by Shawn "Clown" Crahan and Paul Brown is now available .
Shawn said about it : "‘Snuff’ as a piece of art is a testament to the evolution of Slipknot. It’s taken 10 years of uncompromising vision to finally be able to present portions of the bigger picture. Stay awake, because as always, it’s still continuing."
"Snuff" is the fifth single of their record "All Hope is Gone"
