Morbid Angel will release their new album "Illud Divinum Insanus" on June 7 via Season Of Mist. The first single "Nevermore" will be made available on May 16 as a digital download and even-inch vinyl single. The cover artworks for the album and the single, which can be viewed below, were created by Gustavo Sazes (album) and by French artists Valnoir and Fursy Teyssier (single).
Commented the band on the album artwork : "After a long brainstorming period and some [good and bad] ideas left behind, we came up with the concept of this organic surreal insane being; a fallen God or a weird mirror image of our own madness. It is a different MORBID ANGEL cover for sure, but I think that's how MORBID ANGEL is...Deviant and different on each new release. They never repeat themselves. They are always pushing the boundaries and setting new standards.
I'm really proud of the final results and hope the fans appreciate my work, while listening to the new album!"
Marduk will release a new EP titled "Iron Dawn" on May 27th.
"Marduk just finished the recording of 3 songs for an upcoming EP set to be released on the same day as the bands appearance at the Maryland Deathfest on the 27th of May. So the first chance to get your hands on it will be during that festival and the dates coming up during the 7 Bowls of Wrath tour. Release for the rest of the world has been set for the 30th of May. The songs included differ from the concept that is being created for the next full-length album, therefore this EP will be made available as a special treat for all Marduk Legionaries out there. The tile is set for Iron Dawn."

Following a successful North American run of dates on the Blackest Of The Black tour alongside Danzig and Possessed (among many others) as well as a march through Asia to close 2010 , Swedish black metal battalion Marduk are set to return to the U.S. for another round of live performances! The evil will commence on May 27 at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore and run through a week's worth of dates, closing on June 3 at the Williamsburg Music Hall in Brooklyn, New York. Support will be provided by Aura Noir, Black Anvil, Panzerfaust and HOD.
Commented guitarist Morgan Håkansson of the latest round of dates: "Seven cities, seven shows,seven bowels of wrath to be unleashed upon mankind! It is with great delight I can announce that Marduk return to the U.S. and Canada for a handful of select appearances. The calm before the storm!"

Obituary, Death Angel, Municipal Waste, Bonded By Blood, Atheist, Agalloch and Integrity are confirmed for the Scion Rock Fest, set to take place on March 5 in Pomona, California. Death metallers Morbid Angel will headline this 11th edition of the festival.

Having recently returned from a successful stint on the coveted Blackest Of The Black tour through North America playing alongside Danzig and Possessed (among many others), Swedish black metal squadron MARDUK recently set out to destroy Asia.
