The "Big Four" (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax) have announced a show in California for the U.S edition of the event, on Saturday, April 23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Commented Metallica : "You've probably heard us all say it . . . the vibe was just so incredible at last year's 'Big Four' shows that we can't stop now!! So we're finally bringing the love to our home turf on April 23, 2011 with 'TALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH, and ANTHRAX in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Club (yes, the more observant of you will note that this is the same spot where the Coachella festival takes place the weekend before).

"Wow . . . you guys are nuts and we are nuts about you!! It's still mind-boggling to us that 13 shows in Australia sold out in less than an hour! So guess what??? We're coming BAAAACCCK!
We spent the last couple of weeks trying to put a schedule together in September that would include yet another visit . . . the third one, the prequel if you will. It works out that on our way to Japan we can do just that, so look for us AGAIN on September 15 in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena and September 18 in Sydney at Acer Arena.

The “Big Four”, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax are bringing their historic European tour to the global stage by beaming the event via satellite to movie theaters around the world in a special HD cinematic event. These four legendary acts broke out of the underground thrash movement in the 1980’s to dominate the metal world, selling millions of records and packing arenas across the globe. Despite huge demand, these musical giants have never shared the same stage until now. The legendary June 22nd concert from the tour’s stop of the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria will air the same day in 450 theaters in over 140 markets in the U.S., as well as beamed into theaters in Europe, Canada and Latin America. Delayed screenings are planned in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. In December 2009, the bands announced that they would be joining forces to take part in the traveling Sonisphere Festival for only 7 shows across Europe. Now, this one-time only event from the Sofia show makes it possible for fans far and wide to participate in what otherwise is a very limited run of dates. The high-definition concert presentation will memorialize the event and the impact will be amplified globally with the cinema screenings, making the dreams of fans around the world over become a reality.
