The Limp Bizkit's US "Gold Cobra" tour has been cancelled . Festivals and European tour are still confirmed .
Commented Fred Durst : "Our reason for moving the U.S. tour dates is simple: We insist on bringing you the best concert experience we have to offer. An amphitheatre environment won't allow us to do that with so many seats directly in front of the stage. Moving away from amphitheatres and into venues with appropriate floor space will allow more room for jumping, dancing and moshing directly in front of the stage, instead of on a grassy knoll a hundred yards away. Ultimately, this is what we prefer.
Those of you who want to sit down during our show will find plenty of seats around the outside of the floor area.
We feel strongly about our decision and want this to be your best concert experience of 2010.
We are truly sorry for any inconvenience.
The updated list of dates will be announced as soon as we finish routing the tour (which is being done now) and anyone that has already purchased tickets will be refunded accordingly."

Limp Bizkit have revealed the artwork for their new album "Gold Cobra" , to be released this summer .
Commented frontman Fred Durst : "I think that, in a nutshell, we came in staying true to ourselves and doing what we do. ... We make heavy music that has rapping in it. We're a rap-core band. Through the years, it felt natural to try and explore and grow beyond that, and inevitably, it led us in different directions. And what our coming back together represents is us having figured out that, you know, evolution is great, but we need to do what we do.
And this new album, this is what we do. The evolution has brought us full-circle," Durst continued. "We're Limp Bizkit. And if you didn't like it before, you're not going to like it now. If you don't want to hear a band that plays super-heavy grooves, with an MC rapping over it, then you shouldn't listen to Limp Bizkit."

This song comes off the new studio album "Gold Cobra" , due in early 2010 via Interscope/Polydor . It's the first album with the original lineup since 2000's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" .

Fred Durst told Kerrang! magazine that [Limp Bizkit] "will slowly be revealing the meaning of the title over the next few weeks . Cobras are quite venomous. I wish it were a much longer, more ridiculous title, but 'Gold Cobra' is as ridiculous as we're going to get right now." and told NME.com that he's "having a great feeling about going in and doing the new Limp bizkit CD, more than I have about any of our albums before. It's not going to be a watered-down version of Limp Bizkit, it's going to be a more explosive, more addictive, more driven version of Limp Bizkit."
