Dave Mustaine and its colleagues from Megadeth offer us a world premiere of their upcoming album TH1RT3EN.
The album is scheduled for a release via Roadrunner Records, in early november.
The track is "Black Swan", wich was a bonus song written for the members of Megadeth fan club that pre-ordered the album "United Abominations" in 2007.
Progressive metallers Mastodon have revealed the title for their new effort : "The Hunter". The album was recorded at Doppler Studios in Atlanta with producer Mike Elizondo. In a recent interview, drummer Brann Dailor described the new album as "a little faster, heavier, crazier… It's all over the place."
Guitarist Bill Kelliher added : "It's a good representation of where we are. There's no 15-minute epic songs on there, but there's a lot of short bursts of energy going on."
We recorded, like, 15 or 16 songs. In a week we did all the drums and we spent the next two and a half, three weeks doing all the guitars and vocals. We did it pretty fast and it sounds great."
The "Big Four" (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax) have announced a show in California for the U.S edition of the event, on Saturday, April 23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

Yes, the rumours are true... sadly my time with Avenged Sevenfold has come to an end. The band has decided to carry on into 2011 without me... I had a great time with them throughout 2010, but it was their choice to end the relationship at the end of 2010 as was always the initial plan.
I had an awesome time on stage with the guys every night and have so many cool memories from the experience with them... I am proud to always be part of the A7X family and history.
I also adore the A7X fans and totally appreciate the way they welcomed me aboard and were so loving and supportive during my time with the band... thank you!
As far as my future, I am excited by the endless musical possibilities that lie ahead of me... my love for music runs very deep and my taste is very broad and ecclectic which will give me the chance to explore many different things and collaborate with many great friends and artists I admire and respect...

James Owen Sullivan (aka The Rev) , the drummer of Avenged Sevenfold was found dead at his home on Monday 28 (december) . He appears to have died of natural causes . He was 28 years old .
Avenged Sevenfold : "It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan.Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly, he was our best friend and brother.Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time."
According to the Austrian Times website , AC/DC have been asked by animal-rights activists to cancel the Austria show on May 22 , 2010 at Wels airport .
Indeed , it would cause a "disaster" among the breeding colonies which flock to the area each spring.
Hans Uhl of NGO BirdLife said: "The second-biggest colony of curlews in Upper Austria and various other ground-nesting birds must not become endangered by organisers’ plans."
His organisation and also the WWF are trying to convince the band to reschedule the concert , where 80,000 people are expected , and they said that "the concert could take place anytime from mid-June as it would no longer be a threat to the birds."

The tour, which was due to begin on November 8, was called off after SLAYER frontman Tom Araya was ordered to undergo an immediate surgical procedure for a back injury, thought to be related to his on-stage activity. More information will be released shortly regarding the new Canadian dates.
