Evenko has given out some new names for Heavy MTL 2011 that will take place on July 23rd and 24th at Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal, Qc. Kiss, Motörhead, Billy Talent, The Sword, Children Of Bodom and Opeth are going to be part of that first North American metal festival.
More names should be announced soon.
In a proclamation made by Mayor Lee Leffingwell, March 8, 2011, has been decreed as "Motörhead Day" in the city of Austin, Texas. This event coincides with MOTÖRHEAD's local performance at Stubb's Bar-B-Q on the evening of the band's dedicated day. Local musician David Siddall reportedly made the formal request to the Mayor's Office, and a signed proclamation was issued on parchment with the official state seal.

Whereas,
The Live Music Capital of the World welcomes the band MOTÖRHEAD to our City for one of the many stops on its US Tour; and,
Whereas,
MOTÖRHEAD, founded by Lemmy Klimister [sic], recently celebrated its 35th anniversary of making music that has received worldwide recognition; and,
Whereas,
MOTÖRHEAD's current tour coincides with the U.S. release of its latest album "The Wörld is Yours"; and,
Whereas,
We extend best wishes for a great show in Austin and continued success for the band;
Now, Therefore,
I, Lee Leffingwell, Mayor of The Live Music Capital of the World, do hereby proclaim March 8, 2011, as Motörhead Day in Austin
Motörhead, Mastodon, In Flames and Parkway Drive are confirmed for this year's edition of the Sonisphere festival, set to take place July 8-10 at Knebworth, UK.
Commented In Flames : "We have been in the studio since October recording our new album and we can't wait to come out and play the new song live. The U.K. has always been very good to us and we love coming back so this is something we really look forward to.", and Parkway Drive vocalist : "Holy crap, they're actually letting us play this thing!!! Sonisphere 2011!!! I don't think we can really describe how excited we are to play, and I think Jeff will probably die when Metallica play!”.
"The World Is Yours", the follow-up to Motörhead's 2008's album "Motörizer", will be available on December 13 via Motorhead Music in association with Emi Music Services. The track listing for the CD is as follows :

A new five-minute trailer for the upcoming documentary on British Metal pioneers Saxon titled: "Heavy Metal Thunder - The Movie", has been posted online.
