The promotion video of Lucifer, from the album Evangelion by Behemoth, is now available. Two versions were created by Behemoth, one slightly censored to avoid offending overly sensitive people, and another uncensored.
"To France", the new music video of Leaves' Eyes can be viewed below. This song comes off the band's new album "Meredead" which will be released on April 22.
Blabbermouth.net issued the following report concerning Behemoth's Nergal, who has been hospitalized due to Leukemia:
Adam "Nergal" Darski, the 33-year-old leukemia-stricken guitarist/vocalist of the Polish extreme metal act BEHEMOTH, has released the following statement regarding his treatment:
"I'm still in the hospital, but in quite a good shape so I write to let you know about my health and the further stages of treatment.
"I've been through four planned chemotherapies and have stayed in hospital for over three months now. I've gone through the whole therapy smoothly, though I also had a couple of difficult moments. All this means I have finished the stage of pharmacological treatment and I am about to start the irradiation and then the marrow transplant.
"Yes, we've found a donor! Having searched for months, the foundation has found a person whose genotype is identical to mine. It would have been difficult to achieve if it wasn't for the support of so many people. Most of all, I want to express my admiration for [26-year-old Polish pop singer] Dorota [Rabczewska; a.k.a. Doda] — my wonderful and devoted fiancée. She did everything she could to help me and many other people, regardless of adversities and comments which were often unfair. Your help is invaluable! Thank you! I love you.
"On behalf of me and all other ill people, I thank everyone who registered in the bone marrow bank regardless of origin, skin colour or religion. The concerts for charity have been organized all over the world and people of show business, bands and, most of all, the fans got deeply involved. You are beyond great! One of you made my transplant possible, but remember, your attitude may save many others in need. So I appeal to everyone: don't stop the madness! The march for victory continues! Horns up!"
Every year, more than 10,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma, and a bone-marrow transplant from an unrelated person is their best or only hope for survival. There is no data available on how many people die waiting for a match, but only four out of 10 patients receive the needed transplant.
BEHEMOTH's "Evangelia Heretika" DVD will be released in the U.S. on November 9 via Metal Blade Records, in Poland via Mystic Records, and in the rest of Europe through Nuclear Blast. It contains three discs featuring two full shows ("Live In Paris 2008" and "Live In Warsaw 2009"); every BEHEMOTH music video ever made; "Evangelion" tour documentary featuring band interviews plus tons of backstage footage; and a bonus "Live in Warsaw" audio CD.
This is a good news for Behemoth frontman Nergal and all his fans : according to a statement posted on the band's website, Nergal (who has a leukemia) has found a bone marrow donor that is a genetic match. His old bone marrow will soon be destroyed and replaced with the healthy donor one.

It will include 3 discs featuring two shows, all the band's music video, a tour documentary ... and will be available on Friday, November 5th via Nuclear Blast in Europe, via Mystic in Poland, and on November 9th in US via Metal Blade Records.
Leaves' Eyes bassist Alla Fedynitch has left the band for "personal reasons". Session bassist J.B. van der Wal will play with the group for the last two shows of the year, at the Metal Female Voices Fest on October 24 in Belgium and on November 19 at the Indian Music Conference in India.
Behemoth will release a DVD entitled "Evangelia Heretika" in Europe on November 5th, 2010 via Nucleat Blast. A short teaser is available at this location.
"Evangelia Heretika" will include two full shows, all the music video the band made, a tour documentary and more.

Since news on Nergal's recent health issues has been released, the band, management, and label has received an overwhelming response from fans and bands all over the world asking how they can directly help Nergal. In response to everyone offering his or her help in terms of setting up benefits and shows to raise money for the frontman of the Polish blackened death metal band BEHEMOTH, Nergal has issued the following statement:
"I haven't intended to manifest myself in any way and, especially at this stage, to share my feelings or any other news with the world for obvious reasons. It is simply too early for it. But it was YOU who provoked me to say a few words. Regarding my personal low opinion of humankind, I'm shocked by the reaction to my illness. I actually expected NOTHING yet received feedback which surpassed all expectations. I want to ensure you I read EACH mail I receive, although I'm unable to reply to all of them. The power of your words is pure magic and I thank you all for it. You are a gigantic indestructible army that truly inspires me in this difficult time. The fact is that a fight with this illness is going to last for many months. Most of this time I will spend in hospital and I will go through various psychophysical states. If you know the history of Behemoth you also know we achieved everything by hard work and a steely determination. The same goes for my private life. I happen to be a strong son of a bitch. I have no faith but rely on a 100% victory and I am sure I will get out of it stronger than ever. Sun Tzu in his 'Art of War' said that if you know your enemy and yourself the result of a thousand battles will not surprise you… I enter the ring with this Nietzschean attitude and I will leave it as a winner, as usual. Just watch and see!
So I want to emphasize that Behemoth will by no means goes through any hibernation state. Obviously all concert plans must be postponed until some unknown point in the future, but things are happening! Lately our newest video for '…Alas, Lord is Upon Me' has premiered and stirred up quite a storm in mass media, which fills us with utter pride. Plus we've just finished the project of our new DVD; Evangelia Heretika is a three disc release, a real encyclopedia of Behemoth with nearly 5 hours of material and a bonus audio CD that will be out in November (Metal Blade US - Nuclear Blast Europe). Expect an experience of visual madness as we went to hell and back to make it! Our official Web store has been functional for a couple of days and official merchandise and some very exclusive stuff can be bought there. At the beginning of 2011, Peaceville in Europe and Metal Blade in US will reissue the EPs with new artwork, bonuses, liner notes, and more. As you can see, despite a complicated situation and difficult circumstances we're remaining active wherever we can.
Finally, I want to comment on some opinions which, provoked by religious circles, lead to far-fetched and inaccurate interpretations. I was surprised to hear my illness became a pretext for some people to embark on their own crusade. Opinions suggesting I might come closer to God or abandon my ideals and grovel to the only correct world view in this country not only surprised but also frightened me. This is a typical example of supporting one's own views by preying on someone's misfortune. 'He fell ill so he will convert to Christianity, he will discover the religion he fought against is actually close to him.' Halt! Why should the illness change my point of view? It is true this is a difficult time for me and the thoughts of ultimate matters are hard to chase away. But the idea that I will change my opinions, priorities, and values as a consequence of my illness sounds as if someone regards my head, and not my body, ill. Suggesting I might convert are ridiculous. To what would I convert? After all, I know Christian mythology pretty well, not only in its literary version, and I find nothing good, creative or beautiful in it. I read books better and wiser than the Bible. War, blood, blackmail, rapes, incest, pedophilia, zoophilia, collaboration and treachery – each page emanates with evil. Some may say I don't understand the message of the Bible. I'd rather say the Christianity is nothing more than a rusty and archaic structure that is going to fall down any moment. It lasts only because of the gullible that follow the shepherd blindly; without any questions, without any consideration, not to any promised land, but to an intellectual slaughter. So, I say to those, who see some chances to break my rules, and myself because of the illness: over my dead body!"
Nergal's official view on benefit concerts, fund raisers, etc. is focused on marrow donations as a whole issue, not his specific situation. If you want to help Nergal the best thing you can do is set up a marrow drive or register to be a bone marrow donor. Every person that registers to be a donor increases the chances of survival for Nergal and every other person out there suffering from the same illness.

BEHEMOTH leader Nergal has just found out he needs a marrow transplant to fight the sickness he has recently been diagnosed with (leukemia). In light of this he wants to remind everyone about the need to be on the marrow registry. The more people get tested and donate, the more of a chance for life there is for him and people in the same situation.

SMNnews reports BEHEMOTH frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
According to reports, the disease is in advanced stages to where chemotherapy is not an option for treatment. Nergal will most likely need a bone marrow transplant.
Reports indicate that Nergal’s fiance has donated bone marrow, but it has not been determined if there will be a DNA match.
This is very sad news for all metal fans, many of whom have already shown incredible support. Other Polish artists are currently organizing concerts to help raise awareness of Nergal’s condition, although no artists or concert dates have as yet been announced. Nergal is currently undergoing a multi-stage, months-long treatment at Gdansk Medical University Hospital and all BEHEMOTH tour dates indefinitely canceled for the foreseeable future.
This is the unexpected clarification of Nergal’s very hopeful statement earlier this month.
Following a successful first run in 2010, The Finnish Metal Tour will once again unleash itself on North America in early 2011. Dubbed “The Finnish Metal Tour 2”, and presented by title sponsor Decibel Magazine, the tour will feature co-headliners Finntroll (Century Media) and Ensiferum (Spinefarm). Additional support will come from Barren Earth (Peaceville), and Rotten Sound (Relapse). The tour will start on January 31st 2011 in Orlando FL, and conclude on March 4th in Raleigh NC.

Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM released their 4th album “From Afar” on September 8, 2009 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was produced by Tero Kinnunen (Nightwish, Amorphis) and Janne Joutsenniemi, who produced the band's previous offering, Victory Songs and mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Amorphis). Ensiferum completed their first headline tour of the USA this past November with Blackguard and Swashbuckle. "First of all, we've overcome ourselves with this new video clip. Period. It's something we've wanted to do for a very long time. Pretty much no digital intervention, no blue boxes, no fake shit this time, but great filming, good acting, and a fuckin' awesome storyline. It's disturbing, crazy, and evil. We've had over 70 people working for us on this video so we can easily say it was the biggest production so far. I'm beyond excited! Wait and see…"
Dariusz Szermanowicz of Grupa #13 adds; "This time we decided to make something different. We'd like to make video in 'cinematic' style without so many VFX like in last two videos. We found great location, we had dozen of actors and extras and awesome stylizing. During the 16 hours of hard work we've created amazingly killer video!"

The metal world has taken some serious hits this year health-wise. Peter Steele, Ronnie James Dio, Debbie Abono, most recently Early Graves frontman Makh Daniels… and while Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski’s diagnosis certainly isn’t death, it certainly isn’t good.
Nergal is “seriously ill and waiting for [his] multi-stage treatment,” and as such all planned tour dates including the upcoming MS-sponsored U.S. trek with Watain, Withered and Black Anvil have been canceled, according to an official message from Nergal himself:
I do not want to bore you with details, but I can no longer hide the fact that I am seriously ill and waiting for my multi-stage treatment, which can take up to several months. Thus, we have not choice but to cancel the coming summer festivals, planned for September and October tour of Russia and the Baltic States and the November tour of the USA. I’ve got a rather difficult period, and a lot of work but I became hardened in the fire, is not it? You know me, so that you know that out of this I will become stronger than ever. We will then rebook all the concerts and return with greater momentum. At this time, I feel good, my head is ready to fight the disease, everything is under the control of professionals. I have with me the most wonderful and loving woman, family, team, managers and people from publishing companies who are doing everything to support me. I do ask of you just a little bit of patience. I would add that the fact that in the near future we will not be touring but will not be in hibernation. We have a lot to offer you in the coming months, Behemoth will be working on many other fronts. In coming days expect release of our latest clip “Alas, Lord Is Upon Me.” Ensures that this is the most perfect, the most provocative and stimulating I have ever made a picture. In addition, we will finish work on the DVD release “Evangelia Heretika” which will be released in November of this year. We will keep you informed about what is happening in our camp. Horns Up!”
