Since 1994
Enthroned has been releasing material that has tortured ears all around the world. Every release comes with a pretty good rating behind it. I am not a huge fan myself but got to say that
Enthroned’s
Pentagrammaton has caught my attention.
Pentagrammaton was released May 22nd 2010 and has received nothing but praise.
Pentagrammaton brings us forty-one minutes and fifty-seven seconds of pain and torture. The opening track “In Missi Solemnibus” is filled with dark and creepy material. The noises in the opener are sure to give listeners chills up and down their spine, and realize something brutal is about to come.
“The Vitalized Shell” follows with blast beats and catchy guitar chords. The vocalist (Nornagest) sounds demonic and heart wrenching: the vocals relate a feeling of no sense of purpose in life. The drums and vocals are perfect in “The Vitalized Shell” as they are building each other up.
Pentagrammaton delivers screeching vocals and drums that are like a punch in the face. The guitar is as effective as the drums and vocals with catchy riffs and evil chords. Everything with the album works excellent together and has no dull moments.
At some moments of the album you come to find out that either you love the song or album itself or
hate it. You come to find out that a lot of the tracks are as great as a lot of them but there are a couple worth another listen.
Pentagrammaton is a great success from the band
Enthroned. I would without a doubt recommend this. If you like
Enthroned, make sure you pick this title up. If you like
Dimmu Borgir or any other new wave black metal be sure to pick this up. You will not be disappointed with this album.
