After hearing that this album was being released I was fairly exited to get to hear it when it came out, I was very pleased with what I heard. While it was as grim and frostbitten like the rest of
Immortal's discography. All Shall Fall is deffinately a different approach on multiple levels, mostly is the production of it, which is far superior to
Sons Of Northern Darkness to where you could really tell that a lot of effort was put into the album,
Abbath seemed to add some new playing styles along with better solos than on previous albums, "All Shall Fall" the title track, is a lot more technical than your average
Immortal song. They also made their best produced video to the title track, where
Abbath shows off his kvlt dance moves on a frozen mountian peak in some unknown location. The other two favorable songs off the album in my opinion would be "Hordes to war" and "Unearthly Kingdom". "Hordes to War" is a very fast paced track with a name that pretty much speaks for itself, while "Unearthly Kingdom" is a long 8 minute track with a long ambient intro that has a very great build up, the lyrics are phenominal and are well placed throughout the song, I would relate the song to their popular song "Blashyrkh (Mighty Ravendark)" If it were twice as long it would sound close to "Unearthly Kingdom" Overall I am giving this album a 9 out of 10 due to its production and great new songs, I would call it flawless but a few of the songs seem to sound almost too similar at parts which is my only minor complaint, if you haven't picked this up you deffinately should make an offering to Blashyrkh, get some corpse paint and rock out to some tastey frostbitten tracks. \m/
